Public
Works was originally created in 1986 by the composer David Macbride
and the composition students at the Hartt School of Music as a student-run
new music series. Composers Michael Katzman, Jason Koczela, Thomas
Luther and John Surovy are all colleagues from the class of 1989,
the first to present a Public Works concert. After many of the original
members found themselves living in Boston, they revived the group
in 1996. The group usually puts on spring and fall concerts.
The next
Public Works concert is currently in the works. Please come back soon for more information.
